LNF CAD Room

EECS 1336 contains six Windows computers and one laser printer, available for all LNF lab users with a valid keycard. No food or drink is allowed in the CAD Room.

CAD Computers and Software

Each of the six CAD computers requires Uniqname and Kerberos authentication to log in. An info sheet on the wall above the computer displays the Windows version (either 10 or 11) and installed software on that computer.
The CAD computers are connected to the College of Engineering's public Internet as well as the LNF File server. See also Data Purge Policy.

Physical Storage

Lab users may store items in the CAD room on a temporary basis.

Lockers

Locker padlocks and use must be approved by LNF staff prior to use.

Coat hooks

The CAD room provides a small number of coat hooks.

Non-Traffic Spaces

Lab users can store items on empty table spaces or on the floor next to lockers, provided that they meet the following criteria:

  • Items must not block users' access to computers, printer, lockers, nor the exit.
  • Items should be contained (rather than a loose pile) in an appropriate container (i.e., bag, tool box, cardboard box, etc.)
  • Container must be labeled with the date on which storage starts, and a valid user's name.
  • Items must be removed from the CAD room after two weeks.

Items that cannot be associated with an owner or have been stored for more than two weeks may be removed by LNF staff without notice. LNF staff is not responsible for items stored in the CAD room.
